HowTo: Create and connect to an interactive container

In this tutorial, you will learn how to sign up for an account, sign in to TWSC, create an interactive container, and use Jupyter Notebook to quickly connect to the container.

Interactive Container? Jupyter Notebook?

  • Interactive Container is one of the TWSC services that uses container technology for operating system level virtualization for fast software delivery. Interactive Container offers multiple AI framework options and can build high-performance working environment with NVIDIA V100 GPU. Please refer to Service overview for more information.
  • TWSC provides the development tool Jupyter Notebook as an interface for quickly interacting with container computing resources, and for writing and executing scripts. Operating containers via the web is friendly and easy to use!

Step 1. Prerequisites: accounts, projects and credits

  1. Sign up for TWSC
  2. Once finished, get yourself an available project via methods below:

Once you finish the prerequisites, you can sign in to TWSC and get started easily!


Step 3. Create and connect to an interactive container

  1. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the tutorial Create an interactive container and you will learn how to build containers in TWCC Portal.
  2. After creation, please follow the Connect to your container - Jupyter Notebook to quickly connect to your container.

  • Try it out! Use the default settings on the website to build your own containers in a few clicks!
  • There are multiple fully optimized AI frameworks from NGC for you to choose from, see TWSC container image overview for more information.
  • Delete the container to stop further billing. To keep your settings, you can create an image for the container before you delete it and use the image to build the same environment when you have needs.
