Log in to the HPC system

Please see this document to complete the OTP token registration process for the system account first.

Step 1. Connect to the terminal​

After you finish all the prerequisites. Please select a login tool according to your operation systems.

Windows users may download and install SSH client software (e.g., PuTTY); macOS user may uses built-in terminal to connect.

Login from Windows​

Third-party software: MobaXterm

Step 1. Open MobaXterm​

Please download the software from MobaXterm Home Edition (Portable edition), unzip it, and run MobaXtermPersonal[version].

Step 2. Create a connection​

Click Session in the upper left corner.


Follow the diagram and steps to complete the settings and establish a connection:

  1. Click SSH
  2. Enter ln01.twcc.ai in Remote host
  3. Enter system account in Specify username
  4. Click OK to establish the connection

Third-party software: PuTTY

Step 1. Open PuTTY​

  • After opened:
  1. Enter ln01.twcc.ai
  2. Click Open

  • After finished, the PuTTY terminal window will pop out and show the login page.

Login from Linux/macOS​

Built-in Terminal

Step 1. Open built-in terminal and enter the login information​

  1. Enter command ssh [system account]@ln01.twcc.ai
  2. See Step 3. and select a method to log in.

See the connection method:

caution

If you fail to log in 3 times in a row, you will have to wait 15 minutes before you can login again.


Step 2. Enter your system account​

  • Enter your system account in the terminal.

Step 3. Select a login method​

There are three login methods：

  • Login method 1. 「Mobile App OTP」: Obtain the OTP through the IDExpert app using your cellphone. See this document for more detailed instructions.
  • Login method 2. 「Mobile APP Push」: Log in through the biometric authentication on the IDExpert App on your cellphone.
  • Login method 3. 「Email OTP」: By choosing this method, the system will automatically send the OTP authentication code to your email or phone. There's no need to use the mobile app.

  • Select a login method, and enter your system account password and the OTP to log in.

Login method 1. Mobile App OTP​

  • Enter 1 for the Login method. Open the IDExpert app on your cellphone to check your OTP.

Login method 2. Mobile APP Push​

  • Enter 2 for the Login method. Open the IDExpert app on your cellphone and verify through the biometric authentication.

Login method 3. Email OTP​

  • Enter 3 for the Login method. Then, you should receive the OTP through email notification or SMS.

If you want to change your OTP notification preferences, you can go to the OTP & System Account Information page to modify your preferences.


Log out the HPC system​

Enter the command below to log out Taiwania 2 (HPC CLI).
